Hello! I suppose that if you have come to this page, you want to know a little bit more about me!
Well, for starters, I am a fourth year Smithie (Smith College attendee) who, when stressed, likes to knit and eat cake–sometimes at the same time 😉
I’ve been knitting since I was about 7 years old, my mom helped me with my first project. After that, I took a hiatus on the knitting for splashing in puddles and running around naked a lot- something that you did not necessarily need to know about me.
I returned to knitting during my Sophomore year of high school at the prompting of a fellow schoolmate, one who was much younger than me. We rode the train twice per day for over an hour each trip, and it was a good way to pass the time. Since then I have been learning new knitting tricks and skills (sometimes with a Z) and have reached the stage of writing my own patterns. I made this blog in order to begin to share my projects somewhere besides Ravelry, where I am known by my username amaliac. If you are a ravelry user, please feel free to look me up and find some of the patterns on the site!
I am excited to start this blog, and with the upcoming school year I hope that I can find the time to update often, amongst the crush of books and work that I will be having to do!
Welcome, and happy knitting!
